Ruins, I // 16mm (soaked, buried, etc), 3'33'' (2017)
Made from a single roll of film shot in the Walters Art Museum, the footage meditates on the decay of historical objects. The film was subjected to processes like burying, bleaching and scratching, that correspond with different eras, geological or technological events dating back to 4500 BCE (the age of the oldest object documented in the film.)
Performed at The Walters Museum's Art/Sound/Now series with cello-sitar duo, Raw Silk as well as at the Red Room’s new works screening series.
